網上翻譯功能

Google automatic translation

AltaVista Translate

近年許多互聯網免費功能推出，網上自動翻譯是其中一個例子；己很久沒看它們近期展況，打風不出外有空，找了其中兩大熱的免費翻譯功能看看。

第一個看的是 Google automatic translation，網址：http://translate.google.com/translate_t?hl=zh-TW ．
另一個是 Alta vista translate，網址：http://babelfish.altavista.com/ ．

做了一個簡單測試，利用DeepC自己的blog page 在上述兩個網進行網頁翻譯，結果是...可令閣下爆笑...

[1] 範圍：普通包子(含層遞)

Google 功能多，在翻譯結果的字段上 on mouse over，會即時顯示原本的小視窗，要比對原文非常方便，另外它可進行16種言語翻譯， 詞彙也較豐富。

Alta vista也支援近十種語言，部份文法翻譯較好。

兩者同樣支援延伸翻譯，即可給文中的連結繼續進行翻譯。

較有趣的是，Google處理不能翻譯的詞語時，會以英文併音來代替，而Alta vista 則會顯示相關原文字眼。

至於文意，還不能期望太高，打個五折好了。如果有機械人以這個語言翻譯水平來跟人溝通，相信好多腦細包會dead！XD
